About the artist

Peter has spent a lifetime immersed in a variety of creative fields. After graduating from the Queensland College of Art, Peter started out in the art department of the Australian Broadcasting Commission before establishing a long career in advertising and design. For several decades Peter worked as an Art Director for multi-national advertising networks on some of the world's most iconic brands throughout Australia, China, India, and Japan. In 2009 he took a 12-month sabbatical to follow another of his great passions - the design of our built environment, attaining a Masters in Design - Urban Design. To this day, these studies enable him to view our landscape from a fresh perspective. 

More recently, in 2020, he was a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize and was one of only four artists to be shortlisted for the prestigious Artist's Circle Grant for emerging artists, placing a close second. 

Peter brings all his studies, influences and life experiences to his art. He now works on exhibitions and commissions from his home studio in the leafy suburb of Pullenvale with his wonderful family.
